The joy of Christmas is just continuing to spread in the Walk family today...
Josiah, my usual good napper, who usually naps around 12:30 or 1pm at the latest, is upstairs now at 2:20 sitting in bed loudly singing "JINGLE BELLS" over and over! HAHA! He cracks me up. I told him even if he can't sleep he needs to stay in bed and "rest" awhile because Mommy needs a nap too. It's true, I'm sick and feeling miserable so I plan to sleep as soon as I'm done posting this...
Despite the sinus infection for which we are all (Josiah, Michael, and now me) on antibiotics for- I did get some AMAZING GOOD NEWS today! I saw the Allergist this morning and he did scratch tests on my arm for all kinds of common food allergies, including dairy, beef and bananas for which I was supposedly allergic to before... well, they all came out negative. NO FOOD ALLERGIES FOR ME!!! Woohoo!! I quote the doctor, "You can eat anything you want"... now THAT's what I call a great Christmas present! Apparently the "blood test" I had done before is very controversial and only tests the IgG levels, for which it is common in many people to be high, because it just tells that the body is "fighting" a foreign contaminent, which all foods are. But that doesn't mean it's an allergic reaction. SO he tested for the IgE levels (which apparently mean its an allergen) and they were all negative!! YAY! I don't really get it all but whatever- good news is good news, I'm not questioning it, he sure sounded like he knew what he was doing.
So what did I do? Came home and ordered a Papa Johns pizza (my favorite) with EXTRA CHEESE to celebrate!! woohoo!! And I plan to do as my Dad suggested... "eat a big bowl of ice cream tonight!" haha!
As if we needed MORE to celebrate this Christmas... thank you God!!!
