Apple Picking

We took the kids apple picking (last weekend I think?) and now we are eating a LOT of apples and enjoying them! We had so much fun and both kids really had a great time. This place is wonderful and we can't wait to go pumpkin picking soon as well.

Waiting for Daddy

These pictures are completely candid, I swear I didn't pose both kids and take them! I have to say that because, it's so cute, it looks like I might have done that.

Each day around 5 or so the kids are ready... ready for Daddy to get home. And so is Mommy :) and somewhere around 5:30 or so that actually happens... but this is what happens when Michael sends me a text message and I know he is on his way home- and that he will be at the house in a few minutes...

Me: "Daddy will be home ANNNNY minute!"

Josiah: "YAYYYYY!!! DADDDY!!!!"

Me: "Go check and see if he's home yet"

*Josiah runs to the door... Lydia is already there at the mention of the name Daddy*



Lydia: "Da da? da da da!"

Josiah: "Don't worry Widdie, He's gonna be here annnny minute!"

*waiting... watching...*

Daddy drives up- past the house- in the driveway...



He's home! He's home! Let the yelling ("DA DA DA DA!!!" --- "HIIIII DAAADD!!!") and the frantic waving begin!



They are so cute I could just eat them up. Daddy said, "How cute was that? Them both waiting at the door for me!" and I said, "I swear, they did it on their own!"

Lydia's Birthday

Well, she did it... she's officially one year old! YIKES :) Here's a couple cute pictures I took of Lydia (and big brother!) just before her birthday... and some of her on her birthday- Sept.5th. We had a great day! I put together a little "box castle" and tossed all the balloons in there. Josiah got a big kick outta that!

Happy Birthday Lydia!

Lydia Marie is 1 year old today. The time has flown by, but we've enjoyed every minute of it! I have always dreamed of having a baby girl... Lydia is so special to me- and to everyone she meets. We are so proud of her already!

Lydia, you are such a wonderful baby girl and you are so special to all of us, and we cannot imagine our lives without you! We love you so much!
