Scene-- Mommy is putting Lydia's hair into a ponytail, randomly playing with her long pretty hair in the kitchen. 
Mommy: "Lydia, you know what? I used to dream about having a little girl whose hair I could play with. I always wanted a little girl."
Lydia: Looks up with her sweetest eyes and smile and says, "AND THEN YOU HAD ME!"
Mommy: "That's right, and you made all my dreams come true!"
Lydia:  *Giggles*

Scene-- Kids and I are watching "Reading Rainbow" -Humphrey the Lost Whale. We are informed by the wonderful Lamar that "humpback whales are as big as 7 elephants put together." 
Mommy: "WOW that's so big, isn't it buddy?"
Josiah: "yeah... It's still not as big as a seismosaurus. And the Blue whale is the largest animal on earth... well, now that the dinosaurs are extinct."

Scene-- We are in the car, driving home from the libary. Kids are hungry, cranky, and whiny, but so happy they got to go the library (as evidence by this comment I'm thinking...)
Josiah: "Mommy, you love me so much.... it reminds me of Jesus dying on the cross for me."



:o) Well.... that's nice. I must be doing something right! ;)

Our kids all LOVE books, and cherish our trips the library.

...and Mommy is really loving that big brother can read to his siblings now! ;)
