First Tooth

Benjamin got his first tooth yesterday! Well, that's when I noticed it up through his gums. He's actually cutting both bottom front teeth right now. Poor little guy.. recovering from a yukky cold and cutting his first teeth all at once. Luckily he's feeling much more like himself and is pretty happy. He's chewing on everything though and drools a lot! I've never had a drooly baby, but he's too cute. This is the earliest one of our children has gotten teeth, but also around the time Josiah did. Josiah got his first at 9 months (Ben will be 9 months next week!) and Lydia was 10 months. WOW time flies. I'm a little nervous about nursing him now that he has teeth... but, so far, so good!

Our kids were all very early teeth cutters. 4 1/2 months was the average. It was a little scary nursing with all those teeth, but only 2 of them ever bit me and just a couple times. I can't even remember which ones now, except I think Ethan was one of them. He's a biter at the age of 2, so I'm thinking he was probably a biter as a baby too. I would just say "OUCH!" really loud (because it did hurt) and it usually was enough to scare them from doing it again.
