Sick Little Guy :(

Bummer news for our sweet little man. I took him to the doctor's this morning after a REALLY rough and dramatic evening last night where he suddenly was screaming and crying and complaining of ear pain. Rough night to say the least. Anyway, he definitely has an ear infection and is now on antibiotics. We are all hoping he sleeps well tonight and feels much better soon. Poor little guy! I got him a snowball to eat after the doctor visit while we waited at the pharmacy for his prescription. I think it helped a little :) Please say some prayers for him! Thank you!

Update on "Three-Bee"

Daddy has affectionately nicknamed baby number three "Three-Bee" (3B? Three-B?) so I think if it's a girl I'll have to add some cute little bee's on the wall to Lydia's ladybugs :)

Anyway, HE or SHE is doing wonderfully! We had our first sonogram on Wednesday morning and WOW I wished we could have stayed there longer! Usually the early sonogram is done between 8-10 wks. Josiah was 8 wks when we first saw him, and honestly didn't get to see much. We were still amazed at seeing our child in there of course, but the blurry little figure didn't give us much to see! Lydia we saw even earlier due to the miscarriage in between... so it was hard to see much of anything (but a nice steady heartbeat!) at 6-7 wks along. THIS BABY however, was convienantly scheduled as early as I could get in which happened to be 11 wks 2 days along. WHAT A DIFFERENCE a few weeks makes! We could see our entire little baby, arms, legs, head, belly, and butt... all there like a perfect little baby picture- just REALLY tiny! Of course we couldn't make out a face this early or a gender, etc but WOW it was so cool to really "see" this baby so well - so early! He/She (let's just use "he" for now...) was kicking his legs like he was riding a bicycle, and then waving his arm as if trying to wave "HI" or suck his thumb! Our sonographer said, "wow look at that little arm go!" :) It was so neat to "meet" our little one and has just made us all the more excited for this new life!

I have a few little blurry pictures of him/her, which really don't do our sonogram justice since we got to see so much more of him/her moving than the printed picture suggets, but if I get the chance I'll scan them and share them.

I guess our next sonogram will be around 20 weeks, the really great one when you can see everything! I think we are planning to let this baby be a "surprise" so you'll just have to wait til Valentine's Day to know if it's a boy or girl for sure... but stay tuned for any more baby news we may have we'll share :) Everyone seems to think it's a boy so far. We'll see! Thanks for your love and prayers!

I found it! I found it!

I found the camera!! WOOHOO!!

Stayed tuned for some other updates, and a few pictures.

Good Pics from Grandma

So I was going to put up some recent cute pictures, except, I don't have any. I haven't used my camera in weeks, mainly because I have no idea where it is right now. We are playing a little game of hide-n-seek and the camera is winning. BUT I will FIND that camera and get back on track soon, I promise!

In the meantime, here's a couple cute ones courtesy of Grandma. These are from when we spent the day recently with Laura's family and got to go to their pool during the afternoon and take the kids to the park that night. Lucy and Josiah are just cuter and cuter every time they are together! They really did just hold hands and go walking around the playground together completely unprompted. It's just adorable. Enjoy

Baby (#3) Update

Well I saw the midwife on Tuesday morning, but it was your basic "here's a folder of papers about pregnancy to look over" (which I probably still have sitting downstairs from when I was pregnant with Lydia! She said I was approximately 9 wks and 1 day, which was surprising when I realized I'm almost through the first trimester! Unbelieveable! So much happens to a tiny baby in weeks 10-12, it's just awesome. Anyway, we are supposed to schedule our early sonogram any time now (in the next "week or two" said the midwife) and I have to go get all that other "fun stuff" done, like bloodwork. (YAY!!) However the one really nice thing about our visit is that I ran into another midwife who I saw the majority of the time I was pregnant with Lydia. She is SO nice and it was really fun to see her and catch up with her. She said, "hey!! what are you doing here?" haha. Like she had to ask. She was really happy for us when she heard baby number three is on the way!

It feels like it's been forever since I posted something, so I apologize about that! I will have to put up some new pictures and something else soon, I promise. Although, there's not much new to report. I'm just tired and trying to have some summer fun with the kiddos despite my rapidly expanding body. I couldn't believe it, yesterday I woke up and my shorts were tight. "WHAT!? So soon!?" I thought. And then my Mom reminded me that tends to happen much quicker after the first. So true.
WELL... guess I'll be digging out my boxes of maternity clothes today!

4th of July Fun

Little did we know... our new community has a BIG celebration for the 4th of July! So we spent a nice relaxing Saturday at home (still battling fevers and the stupid flu bug) and also go to enjoy a little fun at the local parade that afternoon. We didn't bother with fireworks, both kids were in bed by the time they started and the sound just scares them anyway. Maybe when they are a little older...

But we got a few cute pictures from the parade. Josiah had a lot of fun. He would see fancy cars and monster trucks and yell "MOM! Take a picture of THAT one!" so I have way too many pictures of nice cars. But, he loved it :) He also enjoyed the free candy and popsicle and funny Statue of Liberty hats that were given away to those watching. We had a good time. Poor Lydia needed her nap right then so our hero, Daddy, was back in the shade of a tree covering her ears from all the marching bands and letting her snooze in his arms. He's just the best!

Speaking of Daddy... here are also pictures of his new favorite toy. He's been just dying to get a bike trailer for the kids and take them on rides. Seriously, he's in heaven. They were pretty darn cute too. Lydia really did NOT like it, but she enjoyed it while we were riding. I think she just didn't like having to wear a helmet so she cried whenever we had to put it on or take it off. Poor little thing. But, they were pretty darn cute and it was nice to drive only half way and park out of traffic and then bike over to the parade.
Enjoy the pictures, hope you all had a great 4th too!

Zoo Trip

Since Daddy is often off work on July 4th, it's become a fun tradition to take the kids on a trip to the zoo that day. (Technically we went on July 3rd this year, but you know...) Josiah's first trip to the zoo was on July 4th a couple years ago and this time we got to take Lydia on her first trip to the zoo... she seeemed to enjoy it. She liked the chimpanzees and the giraffe. Josiah liked the rhinoceros the best. I lifted him up and said, "Look at that rhino!" and he goes, "WHHHHOOOAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!" ha ha. Had to be there but it was really funny and cute. So anyway here are some pictures from our trip to the zoo. Josiah and I went with a friend to the zoo when I was pregnant with Lydia awhile back, probably around this time last summer. So I have a great picture of him sitting on the iron lion at the front of the zoo and me standing by him. Since we did it again this year with both kids it'll be fun to put the two together to compare... I'll have to find the older one and get around to doing that.

We also convienantly happened to run into our friends from PA there that day! It was so great to just run into them and then get to spend some time together. They have two boys right around Josiah's age so the boys got to run around and play and we got to meet their beautiful new baby girl as well... awesome! God is good :)
Well, Enjoy the pics!

Happy Independence Day!

Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July!
I will have new pictures to post soon of our fun outing at the zoo yesterday, and our relaxing and fun day at the local parade today. Unfortunately, in between those two fun things, I've been keeping busy with the ever on-going flu. Not so much me anymore (I think my off and on again constant neausea has to do with a tiny person growing in me...) but Josiah got very sick last night and was vomiting/fever/white as a ghost, just MISERABLE :( Anyway, he woke up today and despite the fever on and off again here and there he's MUCH better. He has been eating, has a good appetite and is relatively happy. Lydia's had the fever here and there too, but for the most part seems VERY happy and her usual spunky self. Hopefully we'll all work out this bug very soon.

Anyway... pictures to come- stay tuned!
