Michael is SUPER busy at work this week... he's giving some classes ... and now my mind is going blank and don't remember exactly what for- but he's been up early and out the door extra early to do so and he's pretty wiped. I'm hoping he doesn't catch this cold because that would just make things even more difficult for him.
We finally got our couch and loveseat downstairs! The first time I said it was coming, it actually didn't come... we ordered brown and the manufacturer sent over the black... so they had to fix that error and then deliver OURS so... long story short, now the right ones came and are here! The delivery guys were in and out and very kind, and also came just before anyone's nap time, which is what every stay-at-home Mom loves :) No noise and banging around at nap times!
They look great but I think we might move them around a bit and see how we like them best... I don't know. Michael likes them where they are, they are comfy and durable which I love, but they seem MUCH bigger in our house than in the showroom! So they are kinda taking up the whole downstairs. But... this may also have something to do with the fact that we had NO furniture down there for two weeks so that probably made the room seem much "bigger" too! :)
Well... not much new to report. Josiah has been napping long naps again lately, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's two inches taller next month- watch out! Lydia is doing great. Still no teeth, I'm wondering when they will come, and she's starting to sit with one leg bent backwards (does this make sense?) it's hard to describe but she grabs stuff and spins herself around and I think crawling may be coming VERY soon... uh oh...
And because no post is really all that great without a cute photo... here's a picture of Lydia in a dress that her great-grandma Helen Faber- my Grandmother, made for her very first great-granddaughter Alison. Just too cute! precious heirloom I think! (she made the dress and matching bloomers, I put the red turtleneck under it and tights because Lydia is already wearing this size but it's not warm enough weather to wear JUST the dress!) I'm hoping she still fits it as it warms up. Anyway, I remember seeing Alison in this dress, and actually, in the other one that was just like this but yellow that she made... wobbling outside my grandma's house in the grass when she was maybe just 1 year old. Now she's going to have her first Holy Communion soon... where has the time gone!?
