Deacon Daddy
This morning I watched my Dad being declared a candidate for the deaconate... and his acceptance of course...class of 2011- WOOHOO!! It was really actually very neat to see all the people there, probably about 70-80 deacons and then 50 or 60 (?) deacons-to-be! Lydia and I showed up fashionably late to the mass... haha... if I could have found the entrance to the church it wouldn't have been so hard! Anyway we made it there and we were so proud! We love you Dad!
To be honest though, Lydia stole the show. Go ahead and ask anyone... Dad will admit it ;o) He proudly showed off his grand-daughter and Lydia was blessed by Archbishop Edwin O'Brien. Awesome! We had a great morning.
Congratulations Deacon Daddy!
(Okay... well maybe it's not official yet, but we'll be there in 2011 to cheer you on too!)

MTA Bus Roadeo!
This past Saturday we went with Daddy to one of the local metro stations, they were hosting a big fair, the annual MTA- BUS ROADEO. (Yes they spell it like that, Road-eo!) haha...very cute. Unfortunately, (because Daddy and Josiah slept in until 9am!!) we didn't get there in time to actually see the Buses racing around the set up course! We did see the huge trophies though that were awarded to the winners. Josiah did get to climb into one of the MTA buses and walk around and pretend to drive! (See pictures below!) We got to see and meet Michael's co-workers and boss(es) and other MTA employees as well. We had a great morning there, and there was fabulous (FREE!) food as well as an ice cream truck! Josiah had a huge popsicle and turned all blue... gotta love it! Lydia slept in the sling on my chest the entire time, too sweet. People would go, "oh!...there's a baby in there!" hahaha.

This Saturday we are going to the local Apple Festival! So stay tuned for some inevitably adorable pictures! (They have pumpkin painting, and I think scarecrow stuffing!) we are so excited! We love having Daddy home on Saturday's now, we look forward to our weekends together so much!
Love to you all and God bless!

Visit with Grammy and Grampy Walk
Here are some new pictures! This one is from yesterday, so cute. Josiah wanted to hold Lydia (he always asks to hold her, but half the time it's right when she's screaming to eat!) Anyway he did a great job and she just stared at him, she was awake and happy. He was saying "cheese!" in this picture, but wasn't looking at me, was looking at her. It came out pretty cute!
My babies... Josiah and Lydia
Also from yesterday, Lydia asleep on the boppy pillow next to me, looking very thoughtful and oh so peaceful...
On Sunday we spent the day with Grammy and Grampy Walk, (AKA- Dan and Ellen, Michael's Dad and stepmom) We had a great time and they were so excited to meet Lydia. They drove the long drive from PA (about 4 hours) just to spend the day with us. We took Josiah across the street to the playground for awhile, and we had a great lunch with family and a lovely dinner on the deck. It was so nice to see them! And... then they went off to Sight and Sound Theater to celebrate their anniversary- Happy Anniversary you two!
More pics to come...
I love my kids.
I'm sorry it's been so long since I posted anything... it turns out that 2 children really DO keep you busy just about... ALL the time! I'm really loving having two kids, I think it's more fun than one! Definitely more challenging,...but the other day when I was at that point where I was thinking, "What have I done??" I looked down and saw my baby girl sleeping in my arms... and realized that this is what life is all about. She's just so beautiful! And when I went to kiss my little boy goodnight, I wanted to stand there and hug him forever- it's awesome. When I say "Goodnight Josiah, I love you" and he says, "I love you too Mommy" it makes the whole day of battles and time-outs worthwhile. I love them both so much and couldn't be happier. I'm completely exhausted, and am not always very patient with Josiah these days, unfortunately, (the poor kid is being so good- most of the time- I've got to remember to cut him some slack!) I can barely get out of the house and back in one piece, I basically can't function without a nap, but I'm still standing by my statement that I'm completely loving my kids!
I have so many great pictures to share, so when I get downstairs later (they are on that computer unfortunately, not my laptop... I'll have to fix that sometime soon...) I will post some good ones of all the fun we have been having lately. We went to Daddy's MTA Bus Roadeo which Josiah is still talking about, and I have a really cute picture of Josiah holding his baby sister yesterday... will post more again soon.
For now- both kids are sleeping... do you think I'm going to stay AWAKE now!? nap time! Adios!

Making Baby Progress!
So I had my appointment this morning at 10am. If you don't like hearing baby/childbirth information then don't continue reading... but for those of you that do...
I am SO excited because I definitely am making progress! I am 2-3cm dilated and 70-80% effaced, and she is at -2 station. Of course, I walked around like this with Josiah for a week, but I'm hoping since my body has done this once before, it won't take so long for everything to line up correctly and get moving! I am secretly hopeful that after today's "prodding" around in there (fun fun fun) I might even go into labor tonight... we'll see! I'm just excited to have made progress since last week's check. AND i've lost 3 lbs since last week! how cool is that? losing the baby weight already... pretty awesome. I've heard it's normal to lose some weight towards the end, but with Josiah I just swelled up like a balloon and gained a ton.
Speaking of Josiah, he is napping now and will probably wake in 1/2 an hour so I think I'm going to try to rest a bit. Will keep you posted upon Lydia's arrival!! That's probably going to be the next time I post anything-- so check back!
