ME: "You know, no one seems to be all that surprised about this baby"
Michael: "That's because everyone knows how much we love eachother!"
... how sweet, and true!
JOSIAH (just up from his nap and whispering): "Is Wydia still asweep?"
ME (whispering): "Yes" (smile)
JOSIAH: "Ohhh my my. She must be a sleepy little baby!"
he he he
There are so many more great and cute memories in little conversations and moments that we have all the time. I'm just trying to remember and jot down a few. Today we just had a great time at Josiah's favorite place, out with "Grandma". Josiah has become EXTREMELY attached to Grandma lately... we're thinking he will soon need to join the local branch of "Grandma's Anonymous"... he's definitely got an addiction!
It's pretty cute though.
Even cuter... one more conversation he said after his nap today,...
Josiah: "Mommy?"
ME: "yes?"
Josiah: "I love you as much as Grandma"
... I know how much this is... so I take this as a BIG compliment! :)

Dear Lydia...
To our sweet little girl. Because I know I'm terrible at updating baby books, I thought you might like to hear about some fun developments recently in your life. You are 9 months old now, and last Friday (June 19th) you started crawling. REALLY crawling. All the sudden, you just kept going! So now you are chasing me around the house and keeping us all even busier. (Exactly why I have no time to write all this in a baby book!) Also on that day I put you in new summer pajamas and your Daddy said, "OH my gosh... she's just so cute... she's edible!" :) Which I thought was pretty precious and you'd like to remember.
We love you so much and you have brought so much love and sweetness to our lives. Your big brother is (and always has been) so crazy about you- he always says, "I want to hug Wyddie!!" and loves to snuggle you and hug you so hard and kiss your cheeks. Yesterday he kept trying to keep your head still so he could kiss your cheek, and you kept trying to wriggle away from him, it was very cute. Then when I had you in a play yard he insisted upon being in there with you. I had given you some small tupperware to play with... and so when I put Josiah in there with you, he shook the big tupperware container until the small one popped out and you just cracked up laughing. For some reason, you thought this was hilarious- so he kept doing it- and you kept laughing. It was just REALLY cute, I wish I'd gotten it on video. Your smile and your "baby chatter" light up each and every one of my days. Thanks for being my own personal little baby doll! I love you so much!
Love,
Mommy

Vacation Highlights
WELL... our vacation was not nearly as fun as planned. At least for me. I guess that's because for me, vacation needs at least this 1 thing to feel complete: SUNBATHING on the beach. I BARELY got to do this... I think maybe for an hour on one day, did this happen. Unfortunately, we got a week of wind and cold and then one nice day of drenching rain. FUN. FUN.
HOWEVER, life gives you lemons- you make lemonade, right? Josiah had a BLAST in the pool and Lydia even did well swimming in the cold pool water too. We DID get to dig in the sand and play around and ride bikes together as a family. It was fun to just be together and get away, always nice. That doesn't change the fact that I think we should get a refund and be able to go back during a sunny week- Oh well!
Enjoy the extremely cute pictures despite the (mostly) crummy weather.
Love and God Bless!

p.s. There's SO many good ones and since I took a couple hundred pics I'm going to make a facebook photo album instead of trying to load them all here!

Drumroll Please... BIG NEWS!
In case you have not yet heard... we are expecting baby number 3!!
I am not far along at all yet so we are probably due sometime in late February. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous... it did seem to happen fast (but it could be even closer!) and I figure by the time Lydia is 18 months old and it's the end of February, I'll have been really wanting another one anyway! I found out this past week (very early along... just had a hunch) and then to tell Daddy the big news I made a slide show with the kids pictures and lots of great times they've shared with Daddy. The last slide was a picture of a positive pregnancy test... you should've seen the look on his face! He loved it. I tried to attach the video here for you to see, but it's not working... so if you want to see it let me know, maybe I can email it to you. Yay for babies! God is good :)

Beach Bound
Winner Wedding
A few weeks ago Josiah added to his resume of being a ring-bearer again. He did a fantastic job! Unfortunately all my pictures were pretty much terrible and he didn't want to smile "normal" that day to get a good one. BUT, I'm sure the photographer got a lot of cute ones... so until they get their photos back and I see those, here are a couple pictures that are "okay" that other people got of Josiah in his tux. The one of him up close I took, but like I said, not so great. Oh, and one cute one of Daddy and Lydia! :)

Ice Cream
Part of the fun of summer is going out for ice cream as a family. (Right!?) We found the cutest little ice cream shop near us that serves soft serve ice cream at a VERY nice and cheap price (and it tastes great!) It also has a little side porch with a swing, a tiny plastic picnic table for tiny ice-cream eaters, and even more adorable-a tiny wooden blue picnic table with an umbrella! There was a nice grassy area behind the shop where families and kids could run around and play. Some boys from a sports team were there (which made sense when we saw the sign about "Coaches Special"- a discount when you bring your team in uniform!) and they were climbing trees. Hilariously, Josiah reports, "Mom- that kid is climbing that tree, that's dangerous!" Michael and I looked at him wondering, "where did he hear that?" and about 30 seconds later a kid falls out of the tree and lands on another little kid... yikes. Guess Josiah has a special gift of wisdom. ha ha
But besides all that- it is just a precious place! Here are some pictures from our little trip out there last week. Since Josiah got "ice cream money" for his birthday, I think we'll be making many more trips to this great little place over the summer!

So Excited! Beach Bound
I'm currently making "lists" for things we need to do and get for our trip to the BEACH this weekend and through some of next week. I'm SO EXCITED!!! It'll be such a great time and we'll get to just kick back and relax and enjoy eachother's company, have a blast and wear the kids out with so much fun they could just pop with joy. I can't wait!

Lydia says "HI!"
So Lydia has been saying "DA DA" for awhile now, but we'd have to say her first real word is how recently she says "HI" She really says it! She waves and says hi. It's so cute! She also says "Hi DA" to Daddy. This video was taken when Michael walked in the door from work yesterday...
