Baby Countdown...

Well, miss Lydia Marie is due to arrive 1 week from today. Will this actually HAPPEN? Probably not. :) (Okay I'm sorry, I'm trying to stay positive...but my experience shows that I have to be --as my Mom so eloquently says-- "much more miserable" before the baby actually arrives! Not that I couldn't be considered as miserable now... because that's definitely true... but still) Anyway, she's due next Sat. Sept 6th, so I'll be really happy if she comes ANY TIME now... any time this week... mid week maybe?? just a couple days early??? Sigh..... a girl can wish....

My next apt with the midwife is this Tuesday morning. I was 1 cm last week, so please pray I've at least been making some progress!

I want it on the record though, that I believe Lydia will be born on SEPT.8th! Many many times people have randomly said to me, "when are you due?" and when I tell them Sept.6th they say, "ooh you should have her on the 8th- it's the Blessed Mother's birthday!" ... AND not to mention it's her Nana's birthday... so what better day- right? I just have a very strong feeling she will be 2 days late. ... But we'll see!

We'll keep everyone posted and try to get up the first pictures as soon as she arrives... so stay tuned! God bless!

Making SENSE of it all....

Michael: "Hey Josiah, what do you hear with?"

Josiah: (pause...thinking...) "Ears!"

Michael: "That's right! What do you SMELL with?"

Josiah: "Nose!!!"

Michael: "Yeah! And what do you SEE with?"

Josiah: (after a short pause... his little hands make circles around his eyes...) "BINOCULARS!"

Bedrest is Boring...

...So, unfortunately I pulled a tendon in my pelvis area a couple days ago- and the doctor basically has me on orders to "rest it" so it can heal... which I'm hoping takes no longer than today... because it's getting really old just sitting around. I really have no idea how women do this for long periods of time! It's amazing... God bless 'em! Thank God Michael hooked up this laptop to be wireless so I can keep myself occupied a little today... I already finished an entire novel and a magazine and an encyclical letter from the Pope, so I needed a break from reading for awhile!

We're thankful to God for our awesome family and friends who are helping to take care of Josiah so I can rest... and hopefully heal up soon! (labor and delivery will only be more complicated with a pulled tendon to add some pain!) lol. But, I'll probably be a little too occupied with labor pain to really care. :o) Anyway, prayers for a speedy recovery would be much appreciated!!

All Settled In...

We are all settled and moved in to our new house. (Many thanks to my Mom and Dad who helped us get moved in and settled quickly!!) Just a few little things left to be done, but we are loving our new home. Lydia's room is all ready for her arrival... now she just needs to COME!! (Of course, Sept.6th seems a lot longer away to me than to anyone else I'm sure...) haha. Josiah loves to run around his "new house" and show it off. He's done GREAT adjusting so far, just misses Grandma and Grandpa all the time of course, but we see them all the time too so that helps. He loves his new room. We are so happy to still be close to family!

Well... now that we have internet again I'll post some pictures of the new house asap... and then pictures of our little girl when she arrives!!
